Aquaculture

pH

If pH > 8.3 in the morning: use the appropriate probiotics (pH Sure by Rand Aqua) to stimulate the
development of microbial decomposition. These microorganisms decompose organic detritus in the
ponds. CO2 will be produced and the pH value will be reduced. RandAqua 8886555529.

Chlorella

Chlorella minutissima is the most important algae in aquaculture ponds. Chlorella minutissima is oil-rich Green algae that provides fast growth, and high levels of amino acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids. RandAqua 8886555529.

Protein

Protein is the most important part of fish feed, so therefore it is important to accurately determine the protein requirements for each species and size of cultured aquatic animal. RandAqua 8886555529.

Alkalinity

Alkalinity is a measure of the total amount of sodium bicarbonate (HCO3-) and carbonate (CO32-) in water. It is reported in milligrams per liter. Water alkalinity for white leg shrimp farming:

· Newly released shrimp: 100 – 120ppm
· 45-day or older shrimp: 120 – 150ppm
· 90-day or older shrimp: 150-200 ppm.

Bacillus Megatherium

Bacillus Megaterium possess high cellulolytic ability, multifunctional such as producing cellulose, besides producing chitinase and protease as well as dissolving phosphate, produce a number of enzymes, such as mutarotase, glucose dehydrogenase, galactosidase, amylase and cellulase with Bacillus Megaterium. Types of Shrimps

Types of shrimps are: Tiger Prawn, Whiteleg Shrimp, Caramore Prawn, Neocardina, Cherry Shrimp, chinese White Shrimp, Pandalus Borealis, Giant Fresh Water Prawn, Amano Shrimp, Kuruma Prawn, Bee Shrimp, Sakura Shrimp, Metapaneaopsis Barbata, Lake Prawn, Deep Water Rose Shrimp, Atya Gabonensis, Aristaeopsis Edwardsiana, Fenneropenaeus Merguiensis, Caridina Dennerli, Moyebi Shrimp, Palaemon Serratus, Alaskan Pink Shrimp, Botan Shrimp, Japanese Glass Shrimp, White Shrimp, Hymenocera Picta, Shiba Shrimp, Indian Prawn, Trachysalambria Curvirostris, Atyopsis Moluccensis, Penaeus Semisulcatus, Halocaridina Rubra, Akiami Paste Shrimp, Pandalus Palatyceros, Tiger Pistol Shrimp, Hokkai Shrimp, Stenopodidea, Caridina Gracilirostris, Caridina Serratirostris, Alpheus Randalli, Palaemonetes Paludosus, Palaemon Adsperus, Pederson Cleaner Shrimp, Caridina Babaulti, Alpheus Heterochaelis, Pandalus
Hypsinotus, Pandalus Montagui. RandAqua 8886555529.

Minerals

Some minerals are required in considerable quantities and termed Macro-elements while others which
are required in lesser amounts are referred to as Micro-elements. The micro elements are having greater
role in shrimp nutrition along with other minerals for healthy shrimp or fish body and better production. RandAqua 8886555529.

pH

pH is the concentration of acid protons [H+]. On the other hand, the alkalinity of a solution is its ability to
neutralize acids. Deionized water can drop from pH 7 to pH 2 with just one drop of acid, while natural well water may require 200 – 300 ppm of acid just to lower pH from 7 to 6. RandAqua 8886555529.

Water

When the water is warm and the weather is calm, Water color turns to deep green because of the presence of excessive algae in water, which is the result of overabundance of nutrient like phosphorus. Heavy loads contribute to green pond water because animal waste is broken down by beneficial bacteria through a series of steps into nitrate, which is food for plants and algae. RandAqua 8886555529.

Soft Shell Syndrome

The chronic soft-shell syndrome in shrimp could be attributed to unfavorable pond condition such as high soil pH, low water phosphate and low organic matter in the soil. RandAqua 8886555529.
